GSA Advocacy

We advocate for the interests and concerns of graduate and professional students at The University of Alabama. GSA works collaboratively with university administration and campus partners to address issues related to student well-being, funding, academic policy, and graduate student life, among other advocacy areas.

How GSA Advocates for You

1. Listen

Concerns are raised through delegates, committee meetings, or direct communication with GSA leadership.

2. Prioritize

GSA reviews each concern to determine its scope, urgency, and feasibility.

3. Engage

GSA brings concerns to relevant university offices, councils, or committees for discussion and action.

4. Follow Up

Updates and outcomes are shared with the graduate student community when possible.
